LOAN PROGRAMS · JUMBO
Jumbo loans.For South Florida prices.
A jumbo loan is a mortgage above the conforming loan limit set each year. In Miami-Dade and Broward, many homes and luxury condos need one. Because each lender sets its own jumbo guidelines, comparing lenders matters even more.

Questions,answered.
What is the conforming loan limit?
It is the maximum loan amount Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac will buy, set each year by the Federal Housing Finance Agency. Loans above it are jumbo loans.
Are jumbo rates higher?
Not always. Jumbo pricing varies by lender and borrower, which is why we compare several.
Can I get a jumbo loan if I am self-employed?
Yes. Some lenders offer jumbo loans using tax returns, and Non-QM lenders can use bank statements instead.
What is considered a jumbo loan in Miami in 2026?
Any loan above $832,750 for a one-unit home in Miami-Dade, the 2026 conforming limit set by the Federal Housing Finance Agency (opens in a new tab). Some of our lending partners currently allow conventional loans up to $845,000, so a loan between those amounts may not need a jumbo program; availability varies by lender and can change.
How much in reserves do jumbo lenders want?
It varies by lender and loan size, often several months of payments in savings or investments after closing. Retirement accounts can count in part.
Can I get a jumbo loan for a condo in Miami?
Yes, if the building meets the lender's guidelines. Reserves, insurance, special assessments and any litigation are reviewed closely.
Can I get a jumbo loan as a foreign national?
Some Non-QM lenders offer jumbo loans to foreign nationals, with their own documentation rules. See our Non-QM loans.
Do jumbo loans offer adjustable rates?
Yes. Many jumbo programs offer both fixed and adjustable rates. An adjustable rate can change after its initial period, and we explain how.
